Eric Brictson was born in Santa Monica, California, he has been an avid fishermen since he was five years old, extensively fishing freshwater and saltwater areas of California and Oregon. As a child he and his family often visited Mexico and he became very fond of the country. His frequent trips to the Los Cabos area of Baja became more extended with each visit. In 1985 he moved permanently to his new home and started a small Sportfishing fleet, which grew as the years went by and is now called Gordo Banks Pangas.

General Information

Gordo Banks Pangas is located in the fishing village of La Playita, on the eastern edge of a scenic coastal lagoon at the mouth of Rio San Jose. This is the same area where the massive new Puerto Los Cabos Marina is nearing completion. La Playita is just minutes away from historic San Jose del Cabo. The panga fleet is situated only 10 miles from Los Cabos International Airport and 20 miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas. Eric Brictson, the owner and charter representative, settled in Southern Baja in 1985. Prior to moving to the Cape, Eric spent over 25 years fishing off of the coastal waters of California and Oregon. Eric is an English speaking American who oversees virtually every aspect of the charter operations.

Species such as black, blue and striped marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo, roosterfish, sierra, pargo, grouper, yellowtail, amberjack, pompano, along with many other types can be found throughout the year, depending on gamefish migrations, bait supply, water temperature, and ocean currents. Charters cover the region from Cabo San Lucas to Vinorama.
